There is a pot on ebay measuring 9 5/8" across by 4" high. Item Number 190003514750

I do not believe this will fit in the thermowell as it is only 9" across. Can someone confirm that this is true? I know, use the search function. I did, that is where I get the 9" figure. I just want to double check.

You are wise to be cautious as there are some pots out there that are almost identical to the Chambers t-well pots. I know, I have one of them. I would be especially cautious of a supposed t-well pot marked by anyone other than Wearever. My real t-well pot, that is marked both Wearever & Chambers measures 9 3/8" wide x 7" high.

    Frank-
The thermowell on my B is 10" wide. However, the B has a piece of wire that sticks out on the side above the damper opening (I think this is to keep you from blocking the damper opening with a pot). The C models don't have that, as there is no damper to worry about, so I think the eBay pot you saw would fit (though maybe a bit snugly). It definitely isn't an 'official' Chambers pot. It also wouldn't be a substitute for a real single Chambers pot. As maryopal's measurements tell you the real singles are much taller. If it goes cheap you might want to grab it, but otherwise I'd say no, especially if you really want a real single.
